Welcome!
Hey there! I’m Simranpreet Kaur, but most people call me Simi. I'm a UX designer, storyteller, and explorer of the small details that make everyday life meaningful. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Information Science at the University of Michigan, where I dive into how design, psychology, and technology can come together to shape more thoughtful, human experiences.
I’ve worked on projects ranging from fintech tools at Acorns to car clusters with Stellantis. Across everything, my goal is simple: to design with heart, curiosity, and purpose.
Outside of design, you’ll find me at the gym, cooking up something new, exploring outdoors, or listening to music!

Acorns
Product Design Intern
Apr 2025 - Present
At Acorns, I designed experiences that strengthened user trust and collaboration across teams. I led the design of a guided suspension recovery flow that helps users upload verification documents and access a read-only account view — reducing confusion and rebuilding confidence during account lockouts.
I also helped plan and facilitate Acorns’ first Design Jam, an event that united designers, engineers, and product managers to spark creativity, problem-solving, and cross-functional connection.
Stellantis x MCity
UX Designer
Aug 2025 - Dec 2025
I designed the alert and handoff experiences for Level 3 autonomous vehicles, focusing on how drivers perceive and respond to critical events. My work centered on improving driver comprehension and safety through clear, multimodal communication.
I created and tested visual, auditory, and haptic prototypes in simulated driving environments, evaluating how each signal influenced driver awareness and reaction time. Collaborating closely with Stellantis UX leadership and Mcity researchers, I helped align these concepts with real-world automotive standards and design goals.
